Taman Johor Jaya is a large township located in Johor Bahru. It is a matured township dominated by residential units. Residential properties here are mainly made up of single storey and double storey homes. The commercial units, on the other hand, have 2-storey and 3-storey variants. The township also has a few facilities scattered around, with the common sets being a large park with additional multi-purpose courts, jogging tracks and children’s playgrounds. However, there is a lack of security in the area due to its maturity, but it can be compensated with self-installed security systems and community effort. The amount of amenities located within Taman Johor Jaya has made it a self-sustainable township. There are commercial lots with banks, restaurants, service centres and various offices. Residents can do their grocery shopping at the wet market located nearby, while travelling is made easy with the bus and taxi stands scattered around. The township also has a few schools that are conveniently located close to the residential areas, such as SK Taman Johor Jaya 3 and SMK Taman Johor Jaya 2. There are also a number of malls that are located within Taman Johor Jaya and neighbouring townships. Malls and entertainment outlets inside the town include The Store and Daiman Bowl, while AEON Tebrau City and Tesco Extra Tebrau City are located nearby. Apart from that, the Sultan Ismail Hospital is also located right outside of the township, which will be convenient during emergency situations. Taman Johor Jaya has easy access from Jalan Pandan and the Pasir Gudang Highway. Through these routes, residents will be able to travel to Taman Mount Austin, Taman Molek, and the Johor Bahru City Centre conveniently.
