**##Overview##**Located East of Kuala Lumpur city, Taman Pandan Indah (TPI) is part of the Pandan Indah district, a prime residential and commercial section of greater Kuala Lumpur and not far away from the city centre. TPI comprises mostly freehold land with some parts being leasehold and is a thriving matured development, but with still some property developments ongoing and planned for the future. Because the properties here range from low-cost flats to higher-end housing and condominium apartments, therefore the residents here range from lower middleclass to upper middleclass income earners and is multi-racial. There are many blocks of flats and apartments which contribute to the high density of the population here even though there are also a lot of landed properties within this area.The developments here are mainly condominiums, serviced apartments, apartment duplex, double-storey terrace houses, and shop office lots. Even though TPI is close to the city but it still enjoys a measure of peace and quiet, all of which makes this area popular to live in, however, traffic congestion does often occur in its vicinity. In the north of TPI is Ampang proper and in the south is Cheras whereas adjacent to it is Taman Shamelin Perkasa, Taman Maluri, Pandan Jaya, Taman Cheras Indah and others. Some residents of condominiums and apartments here enjoy nice views of Kuala Lumpur city centre while most inhabitants of this area enjoy TPIs comprehensive self-sustaining amenities and facilities. What might be lacking in this development are more green lung spots and trees in the housing section and commercial centre, although there are a few small playgrounds and a park called Town Park Pandan Indah whitin TPIs locale.**##Amenities & Facilities##**There are plenty of shop lots, one or more storeys, in the commercial centre, comprising restaurants, banks, retail outlets, hair salons, car and motorbike services, tyre shops, while Mid-Point Shopping Complex has a RHB Bank, Texas Chicken, Watsons, The Store, Caring and Guardian pharmacies. Outside amongst the shop lots are Maxvalue, Trinity Pharmacy, Restoran Sri Paandi, Sri Stevens Corner, Alliance Bank, CIMB Bank, Public Bank, Post office, car showrooms, KFC outlet, 7-Eleven, KK Supermart, Chatime, Station One Caf, boutiques, beauty parlors and many others.Schools like SK Pandan Indah and SMK Pandan Indah as well as kindergartens are located within walking or short driving distance away from the town centre while Hospital Ampang and Pantai Hospital Ampang are also situated nearby in the south of this township. Besides the above there are Police and Fire stations in its vicinity while Aeon Jaya Jusco, Tesco Ampang, Fiesta, 1 Shamelin and Galaxy Ampang are not too far away.**##Accessibilty & Transportation##**Access to TPI is easy especially with the MRR2 linking directly with Jalan Pandan Indah and Jalan Pandan Utama. There is also easy access to Ampang-Hulu Klang Highway (AKLEH), Duta-Ulu Klang Expressway (DUKE) and Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS) while Besraya Eastern Extension (BEE) Highway consists of 2 new flyovers that provide alternative routes, for residents here, to other areas that bypass the MRR2.Which means that residents here have a choice of using the main roads which interlink Pandan Indah with other townships like Ampang, Ulu Klang, Cheras and Sri Petaling or using the many highways mentioned above which help reduce traveling time from Pandan indah district to KL proper, Sungai Besi and Petaling Jaya. As for public transportation there is the LRT line that has Pandan Indah and Chempaka stations located strategically for the residents of TPI while there are public bus routes running through and around this enclave with bus-stops located at key points.
