KUALA LUMPUR (July 1): Former 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) chief executive officer Datuk Shahrol Azral Ibrahim Halmi (pictured) told the High Court here today that he had not struck a deal with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the government to testify against ex-prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak in exchange for him (Shahrol) escaping criminal charges linked to the 1MDB-Tanore trial.

AGC to appeal against return of alleged 1MDB money to Umno, three others

KUALA LUMPUR (June 23): The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) said today the Attorney General's Chambers' (AGC) prosecution team will file an appeal against the High Court’s decision to dismiss the stay application by the prosecution to hold the return of some RM194 million worth of alleged 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB)-linked money to Umno, Wanita MCA, Binsabi Sdn Bhd and Perano Sdn Bhd.
