PETALING JAYA: The number of small home office units that were put up for auction last year surged to 255 units in 2018, an increase of 83% from the previous year, according to data collated by AuctionGuru.

The Selangor state government, in its effort to meet the current demand for affordable housing, has recently issued a mandate to property developers in Selangor to allocate up to 30% of their serviced apartment, Small-office Home-office (SoHo), Small-office Versatile-office (SoVo) and Small-office Flexible-office (SoFo) developments to affordable units, depending on property type and location.
KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 13): Property developers have hit back at the Selangor government for amending policies and imposing surcharges that would increase their costs of business, an issue that becomes all the more critical when the current soft market forces them to compete for the segment that demands affordable homes.
