'Malaysian Women Unite' fund-raising to build homes for Orang Asli

PETALING JAYA (March 10): The ‘Malaysian Women Unite’ campaign, a public and private initiative of Extraordinary People Impacting Communities (EPIC) and the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development is aiming to raise at least RM850,000 to build homes for 17 Orang Asli families in Kampung Sungai Kelubi, Rawang, Selangor.

Otai Reformis threatens blockade over Kuala Langat forest reserve redevelopment

PETALING JAYA (Feb 19): Pro-Anwar Ibrahim group Otai Reformis 1998 threatened to put an orang asli blockade at the entrance to Bangunan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (SSAAS) in Shah Alam if the Selangor government proceeds with a proposal to build a mixed development project in the Kuala Langat North Forest Reserve (KLNFR), the Star reported today.
