US Covid-19 deaths could hit half million by February

AMMAN (Oct 24): The Covid-19 death toll in the United States could reach a half million by February unless nearly all Americans wear face masks, researchers said on Friday, a day after the number of new infections reported across the country approached a record high.

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 1): Malaysia reported 260 new confirmed Covid-19 cases today — the highest daily count since June 4 when there were 277 infections — and the country's second daily highest on record since three cases were found on Jan 24,, according to Ministry of Health (MoH) director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, who described the spike as "worrying".
