Overview

Pantai Dalam is a residential area situated in the south-west of Kuala Lumpur and is under the parliamentary constituency of Lembah Pantai.

Accessibility to and from Pantai Dalam to the other parts of the Klang Valley like the Kuala Lumpur city centre, Bangsar, Mont'Kiara and Petaling Jaya is convenient via the Sprint Highway (Kerinchi Link), New Pantai Expressway (NPE) and the Federal Highway.

Bangsar South, an integrated commercial and residential development which was developed by UOA, is also within walking distance. It has since changed the landscape of the area and managed to rejuvenate the whole area. Squatters were relocated and Bangsar South has positively impacted in the area. Property prices of older properties have also seen an uptrend and newer launches in the area and its surrounding has also seen positive response. Close to Bangsar South is an upcoming project by EUPE Corporation called Novum.

The public transportation network in Pantai Dalam extends over a variety of transportation modes including buses, trains and taxis. Rail service is available via the Pantai Dalam, Angkasapuri and Petaling KTM Komuter stations. Also located within a short driving distance are Kerinchi, Abdullah Hukum and Universiti LRT stations.

Pantai Dalam also houses several People’s Housing Project (PPR) flats namely, PPR Sri Cempaka, PPR Kerinchi, PPR Pantai Ria, PPR Sri Pantai and PPR Kampung Limau.

 

Amenities and Facilities

The larger area of Pantai Dalam is formed by many smaller residential areas including Pantai Hillpark, Kampung Pantai, Taman Bukit Angkasa, Pantai Baru, Kampung Pasir and Taman Pantai Dalam. Amenities such as schools like SK Methodist, SMK Seri Pantai and renowned institutions of higher learning such as University Malaya. Pantai Dalam is also a stone’s throw away from shopping malls such as The Gardens, MidValley Megamall and KL Gateway Mall.

Aside from that, a 1Wilayah Persekutuan Library which boasts of a substantial collection of reading materials, computer laboratory, cafeteria, meeting and training facilities and more has also been built at the Kampung Kerinchi People’s Housing Project (PPR) flats in Pantai Dalam. The development of this two-storey library near the PPR was fully funded and developed by Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) and carried out with the cooperation of the Federal Territories ministry as a corporate social responsibility (CSR) project.
