Seri Gading (which is also known as Sri Gading), is a town as well as a parliamentary constituency in the Batu Pahat district in the state of Johor. Seri Gading, which means ‘Gorgeous Ivory’ in Bahasa Malaysia, is located along Jalan Kluang – Batu Pahat, or route 50 and approximately 90 kilometres from Johor Bahru, 13 kilometres from Batu Pahat town and 250 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur.
Pura Kencana, a new township by the property arm of the Genting Group in Seri Gading, is currently taking shape along Jalan Kluang. Located approximately 10 kilometres away from Bandar Penggaram, the capital of the Batu Pahat district, this 9,000 acres mixed development township is fast transforming the landscape of Batu Pahat.
