Bandar Tasik Selatan

Overview

Conceptualised in 1991, Bandar Tasik Selatan is a relatively new township in Kuala Lumpur.  It is undergoing a series of modernisation and is welcoming many new developments into the township.

The township has become more well-known because of the 24-hour integrated transport hub, the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan, being situated within. The hub receives up to 150 million passengers from all over Malaysia.

While there are not many commercial developments available in the area, there is an abundance of residential offerings poised for further growth, given the influx of developments that are coming to Bandar Tasik Selatan.

Surrounding matured townships include Alam Damai, Bandar Sri Permaisuri and Bandar Tun Razak.

 

Amenities and Facilities

The Bandar Tasik Selatan Integrated Transport Terminal (TBS), one of the major bus transport hubs in KL, features terminals with state-of-the-art technology that provides comfort and conveniences for all passengers. The terminal itself has a wide range of facilities and amenities featuring over 60 speciality outlets from fashion to F&B.

Educational institutions in neighbouring areas nearby Bandar Tasik Selatan include SK Desa Tasik, SJKC Kwong Hon, Sekolah Tunas Bakti, Beaconhouse Sri Petaling, SMK Bandar Tasik Selatan, SK Tasik Selatan, SK Tentera Darat, Technology Park Malaysia College, Institut Teknologi Maklumat Asia Pasifik (APIIT), International Medical University and others.

Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM) and Pantai Cheras Hospital are nearby while Bandar Tasik Selatan itself is well-equipped with medical centres of all types. Klinik Famili BTS, Klinik Mano dan Surgeri, Klinic Pergigian Noris, Pusat Perubatan Primer HUKM, Deol Dental Surgery are among the available ones here.

For provision needs, there are many shops selling groceries and daily necessities, such as Pasaraya SK Maju Jaya, Plaza Salak Park and Giant Hypermarket, to name a few.

 

Accessibility and Transportation

Bandar Tasik Selatan is accessible via KESAS, Middle Ring Road II and Besraya Highway. The New Pantai Expressway also connects to the township.

The TBS in Bandar Tasik Selatan provides the complete range of public transportation including KTM Komuter, LRT via the Sri Petaling Line as well as the Express Rail Transit with KLIA Transit services passing through.

There are also several RapidKL buses that ply this area and connect residents to the LRT station.
