Overview

Titiwangsa, is one of the closest suburbs to the Kuala Lumpur city centre, only six kilometres away.

Accessibility and Transportation

It is easily accessible via all the main highways to the city, namely the Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE), Middle Ring Road 2(MRR2), Federal Highway, Lebuhraya Damansara-Puching (LDP) and Karak Expressway.

Some of the main roads to this area include Jalan Tun Razak, Jalan Titiwangsa, Jalan Pahang and Jalan Genting Kelang. Titiwangsa Putra LRT and Titiwangsa Monorail also service this area.

Property Development

Residential properties in this area are highly desirable due to its proximity to the city, abundance of greenery and modern facilities, and thus attracts the higher income groups, especially the newer high-rise developments.

There is a vast difference in pricing for high-rise units and landed properties, as the latter are often mansions with swimming pools, priced in the millions. Most of the landed properties are found around Taman Tasik Titiwangsa. Some of the more prominent high-rises include Titiwangsa Sentral, Vue Residences and Vistana Residences.

Prominent new development in the area include Eko Titiwangsa, a river-city concept fronting the Gombak River along Jalan Pahang. It will be completed by mid-2018. The property will be connected to the DUKE Highway via a ramp and a tunnel will connect it to Tasik Titiwangsa.

Places of Attraction

Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, is a popular recreational park in the area with lakes and jogging tracks. It also provides the public with picnic spots, aqua biking and canoeing. Unique activities and facilities here include pony rides and radio controlled car race tracks.

Nearby attractions are the National Theatre or Istana Budaya, which offers concerts and musical performances from local and international companies; the National Visual Art Gallery that house more than 2,500 pieces of the country’s finest art pieces; the National Library, where its architecture was inspired by the traditional Malay headgear ‘tengkolok’; and the Sutra Dance Theatre that established in 1983 by Ramli Ibrahim to develop traditional and contemporary performing arts in Malaysia through the creation of strong original works.

Amenities and Facilities

The suburb has local and international F&B outlets, banks, learning academies, retail outlets and medical centres - Kuala Lumpur General Hospital and KPJ Medical Centre. There is also the PDRM Golf Club and hotels such as Grand Seasons Hotel, Vistana Kuala Lumpur Titiwangsa and Hotel Putra Kuala Lumpur.
