Overview
Bandar Kinrara is conveniently located such that it acts as a gateway that connects Puchong and Selangor. It is 30km away from Putrajaya, 35km from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and only 8km from Bandar Sunway, where Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall is located.
Property Development
Bandar Kinrara (BK) comprises of 1,904 acres of freehold land. In 1991, the development of Bandar Kinrara 1 (BK1) was commenced by Island & Peninsular Berhad under their subsidiary company, Perumahan Kinrara Berhad. Today, BK is divided into sections BK 1-9, of which BK 1-3 are located on the right of Bukit Jalil Highway whereas the rest are on the left side. When fully completed BK will have a total of 14,500 units for homes.
BK1 consists of low-cost single storey terraced houses and gradually construction expanded to double storey terraced houses in BK2. There are also non-landed properties such as Kenanga Apartment, Sri Tanjung Apartment and Merak Apartment. The steep incline in property values in BK are an indication of the interest kindled among the public by BK properties and are a testament to their excellence. The Edge-PEPS Value Creation Excellence Award was won by BK two years in a row in 2010 & 2011.
Amenities and Facilities
The presence of an international cricket stadium, Kinrara Academy Oval and the 18-hole golf course at Kinrara Golf Club with the Kinrara Resort right next door have influenced the increase in property values. The LRT extension project and the Bukit Jalil City (5km away) will stimulate further growth in the market value of Bandar Kinrara. On completion of the extended Ampang Line, there will be two stations in BK at Alam Sutera and BK5. Bukit Jalil City will house the shopping mall, Pavilion 2.
It is linked to major highways such as Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS), Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP), Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), KL-Putrajaya Expressway (MEX), South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE), New Pantai Expressway (NPE), and NKVE-ELITE Expressway and soon will be accessible via Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (KIDEX) and Serdang-Kinrara-Putrajaya Expressway (SKIP).
