Bandar Sungai Long



In 1989, SHL Consolidated Berhad repurposed former rubber plantation land into what is known today as the country-style golf course township – Bandar Sungai Long (BSL). Located in Kajang, Bandar Sungai Long is a self-contained township on about 690 acres of freehold land.

Property Types

There are more than 8000 residences showcasing the complete spectrum of property types – 2-storey terraced houses, 3-storey super link houses, 3-storey detached and semi-detached houses, bungalows, 3 to 5-storey shop offices, apartments and condominiums (low and high-rise). From an architectural perspective the designs of these properties vary from Mediterranean, Tudor, Colonial to Romanesque and many others.

Taming Mutiara 1, Taman Cheras Idaman, Taman Taming Indah and Mutiara Emas are luxuriously designed residential projects with landscaped greenery developed by Tanming Berhad. Due to successful sale of completed projects at good appreciation values they are continuing with Taman Taming Indah 2, Taming Mutiara 2 and Taming Mutiara 3. Condominiums developed by SHL Consolidated Berhad include Evergreen Park, Green Acre Park, Garden Park, Forest Green and Green View. The 4-storey shop apartments, BSL Business Centre, BSL Business Avenue and Park Lane together form the commercial centre of BSL.

Amenities and Facilities

The township boasts of Malaysia’s first Jack Nicklaus 18-hole golf course – Bandar Sungai Long Golf and Country Club. But golfing is not all it has to offer to its members. The two club houses are fully equipped with health and leisure amenities – Olympic-sized swimming pool, gymnasium, tennis courts, squash courts, badminton courts, bowling alley, TV lounge, video game room, sauna room and many more – ensuring a decadent life of leisure.

The opening of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) in 2002, exponentially amplified property values and increased occupancy rates. The recent shift of the Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur campuses to Sungai Long to form one consolidated campus is without a doubt beneficial for the residents in terms of academia and capital influx. The UTAR Sungai Long Campus now houses all administrative divisions and many faculties, campuses and institutes.

Other amenities include schools (SMK Bandar Baru Sungai Long, Little Inventor Pre-School), a weekly night market, police station and various restaurants. The Sungai Buloh-Kajang MRT line’s Bukit Dukung station expected in the near future will make commuting in and out of BSL much more convenient.

Accessibility and Transportation

Bandar Sungai Long is strategically placed in a position of easy access because you can access it via Klang Velley Expressway, North-South Expressway, SILK Highway and the Middle Ring Road 2 linking BSL to Ampang and other parts of KL. It is only a 30-minute drive from Petaling Jaya via the Salak Highway.
