Puncak Jalil

 

Overview

Puncak Jalil is a township primarily consisting of residential properties developed on about 801 acres of leasehold land previously inhabited by Orang Asli settlements. The construction was begun in June 2001 by Maxisegar Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Talam Transform Berhad, but development stalled midway, and in 2006 was revived as a joint venture with the boost provided by IJM Berhad. This resulted in completing the development phases and beautifying through the addition of landscaped areas. It is an integrated and self-contained township located along the Bukit Jalil Highway close to the Technology Park Malaysia. Townships adjoining Puncak Jalil include Bandar Kinrara, Taman Equine and Lestari Perdana. Sandwiched midway between Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, there is potential for growth and appreciation of property values.

Property Types

Puncak Jalil primarily consists of residential properties with a mix of few commercial properties. The bulk of residential properties are made up of 2-storey terrace houses with a smaller fraction of other property types such as 1-storey terrace houses, 3-storey terrace houses, semi-detached houses, shop offices and a 2-storey shop lot.

Amenities and Facilities

Residents enjoy the convenience of facilities provided by many recreational centres located in the vicinity of Puncak Jalil. Located just 10 km to the north, is the National Sports Complex, the largest sports complex in Malaysia, equipped with the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Putra Indoor Stadium, National Hockey Stadium, National Aquatic Centre and National Squash Centre. Contiguous to the sports centre is the 18-hole golf course, Bukit Jalil Golf and Country Resort with the Kinrara Golf Club located slightly to the southwest.

Other amenities include Petron gas station, banks, clinics, pharmacy, auto repair centre, pet shop, weekly night market and a combined studio and art gallery. Whereas, schools such as SK Taman Universiti, SMK Seri Serdang, SRA Taman Universiti Indah and Alice Smith School; higher educational institutions such as Universiti Putra Malaysia, Perdana University, Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Multimedia University (MMU); shopping malls such as Giant Hypermarket, Jusco and South City Plaza; post office, police station, multiple restaurants and mini markets are amenities that are found within a short distance in neighboring areas.

Accessibility and Transportation

Puncak Jalil is easily accessible from all key locations via a multitude of major highways and expressways such as Damansara Puchong Expressway (LDP) from Klang, Maju Expressway (MEX) from Kuala Lumpur, North-South Highway, Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS), Bukit Jalil Highway via Persiaran Puncak Jalil and the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Highway through the Serdang-Puchong dual carriageway that links Jalan Puchong to Serdang.
