<h3>Overview</h3>

Nestled within the sleepy confines of Kepala Batas, Seberang Prai Utara is the new and exciting township of Bandar Putra Bertam. Build by partnership between Hunza Properties and Yayasan Bumiputra Sdn Berhad, Bandar Putra Bertam spans an area of 350 acres and is targeted at the local Pulau Pinang residents who are looking to upgrade their living standards.

A systematically-planned development, the township aims to create an affordable yet conducive living environment that blends with the laid-back and tranquil nature of Kepala Batas. It aims to eventually house 7,000 commercial & residential units.

<h3>Amenities and Facilities</h3>

As it is a new township there are many purpose-built amenities for the residents. Mydin Wholesale Mall is a centre of attraction for the Kepala Batas townsfolk as many people converge here for their daily grocery needs. There is a 1Malaysia public clinic servicing the whole township alongside a few private clinics. 

Bandar Putra Bertam also conveniently situated close to around 17 primary and secondary schools. Among the schools are SM Sains Kepala Batas, SK Bertam Perdana, SJK(C) Pei Yu and SJK (C) Mei Hua. There is also the existence of tertiary education institutions like USM's Advanced Medical Research and Dentistry Institute, UiTM and the Industrial Training Institute (ILP).

Surrounding the township are recreational facilities including as Vision Park which is a 100 acre man-made waterpark as well as Penang Golf Resort. 

<h3>Accessibility and Transportation</h3>

There is excellent connectivity to the township. The North-South Expressway provides access to Bandar Putra Bertam through the Bertam Exit. From Kepala Batas town it takes about 5 minutes to get to the heart of the township via Jalan Tun Hamdan Sheikh Tahir. Meanwhile Butterworth and the Penang Bridge are only 15 minutes and 20 minutes’ drive respectively. Rapid Penang provides two trunk road bus service from Butterworth to Kepala Batas as well as from Sungai Petani to Kepala Batas. From the Kepala Batas town, one can use the taxi service to get to Bandar Putra Bertam township.
