Towards the south of Selangor, near the coastline, lies Bandar Baru Brooklands or by its new name, Bandar Mahkota Banting, close to Banting town and not too far away from Morib beach. Originally The Lion Group had plans for its subsidiaries Che Kiang Realty Sdn.Bhd., Andalas Development Sdn.Bhd., and Aqua Bio Sdn.Bhd. to develop Phase 1 – 500.49 acres, Phase 2 – 1,036.13 acres, and Phase 3 – 1,244 acres respectively totaling around 1,080 hektars. But since then the development of this property was not really successful and in more recent times this freehold land is being developed by other parties who have bought over parts of the original land. For example, Sanjung Merpati Sdn.Bhd., a subsidiary of Island Circle Development, since 2016, has been developing a 292 acres parcel into becoming a residential estate with a commercial hub. Sanjung Merpati will add more double storey terraced houses and shop lots to the already built single and double storey terraced houses, single storey bungalows and single storey shop lots existing there. There will be a scenic lake view framed by green surroundings with club house facilities like tennis court, children’s playground, and swimming pool situated near the entrance to this township. Surrounded by Taman Merbah, Kampong Sungai Manggis, Taman Sri Manggis industrial land, palm oil estates in the north, and the Langat River in the south, Bandar Mahkota Banting is set to become the first integrated township within the Banting–Jenjarom area. So far this development has been clean, quiet and safe with only light traffic along its many existing tree lined roads servicing the residents of this enclave. Its current residents now can do their shopping at nearby amenities like Giant Hypermarket and Econsave Supermarket nearby and also at Almanda Shopping Mall and IOI City Mall further away in Putrajaya. Banting town just 7 minutes’ drive away has plenty of retail shops, restaurants, cafes, clinics, pharmacists, The Store outlet and a host of services available. Nearer to Bandar Mahkota at Telok Datuk, are other amenities like 99 Speedmart, Plaza Aim Point, tyre shops, PosLaju, hotels, Mamak Restaurants, Puspakom Banting, Pasaraya Megah, and 7-Eleven. Also available to the residents here are choices like Gold Coast Morib Water Theme Park Resort and Paya Indah Wetlands for recreational adventures while KLIA 1 and KLIA 2 are not too far away by car. Cyberjaya and Putrajaya are just 18 minutes drive away, Kuala Lumpur is 60 KM away and West Port is just 35 minutes’ drive away. SMK Sungai Manggis, Sekolah Agama Menengah Tinggi Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, and SK Olak Lempit are nearby while the Persatuan Penjagaan Kanak – Kanak Terencat Akal Negeri Selangor has a facility within this township itself. For further studies there is Multi-Media University (MMU) and Lim Kok Wing University, both in Cyberjaya. Also nearby is College MCS while Hospital Metro Banting Maternity, Klinik Ng, Sree & Friends, and I Dental Clinic are just 9 minutes’, 12 minutes’ and 13 minutes’ drive away respectively. Persiaran Mahkota is the main avenue running right through Bandar Mahkota from one end to another and linking up with Route 31 also called Jalan Banting Dengkil or Jalan Banting Semenyih which in-turn connects to the Jalan Klang-Banting. The ELITE Highway, Kuala Lumpur International Airport Extension Highway and SKVE can be accessed easily also which all lead to other parts of Selangor. There is a bus route that runs along Jalan Banting-Dengkil with bus-stops located at key points that can ferry residents here to Banting town as well as to Dengkil and further on in the opposite direction.
