KUALA LUMPUR (March 2): Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's (pictured) graft and money laundering trial has been deferred to tomorrow.

This is as Zahid has a scheduled appointment today with newly minted prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to form the Cabinet.

Zahid's lawyers informed High Court judge Collin Lawrence Sequerah this morning and the judge said the trial will resume tomorrow.

Yesterday, Muhyiddin took his oath as the eighth Prime Minister, replacing Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

As soon as court is adjourned, Zahid is seen hurriedly leaving the courtroom.
