KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 23): CIMB Group Holdings Bhd has said its branches in Kota Damansara and Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI) will be open as usual.

The bank added that five of its staff from the CIMB Mobile Sales Force (MSF) in Kota Damansara, who were in close proximity with a confirmed Covid-19 patient, are now at the Sungai Buloh Hospital for testing and undergoing quarantine while awaiting their results.

"These five MSF staff have not been in contact with any CIMB Kota Damansara or TTDI branch staff. For both locations, the branch and MSF centres are on separate floors of the respective buildings," the bank said in a statement yesterday.

"As a precautionary measure, both buildings will undergo thorough sanitisation and deep cleaning tonight to ensure the health and safety of our customers and staff," the bank said.

The statement comes in response to social media posts indicating that the two branches were being closed following a confirmed Covid-19 patient visiting the branches.

CIMB's share price finished unchanged at RM3.12 yesterday, valuing the group at RM30.96 billion. The counter saw 12.98 million shares transacted.
