Pandan Indah is a major township located between Ampang and Cheras, and is governed by the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ). Some notable residential area include Pandan Jaya, Taman Shamelin Perkasa and Taman Maluri.

For public transport, there is the Pandan Indah LRT station and RapidKL buses.

Pandan Indah is well known for food, from hawkers to resturants carrying local, Korea and Thai fares. Some famous ones include Kow Siew Sang Har Mee (fresh water prawns in eggy noodles), New Twenty-twenty Kopitiam, Udon-ya San, Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee, Kheong Kee Bak Kut Teh, Aroy-Aroy Thai and Fougasse Boulangerie & Patisserie.
