KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 26): The Employees Provident Fund board (EPF) has increased its stake in IOI Properties Group Bhd (IOI Prop) and emerged as one of the group's substantial shareholders, with 5.06%.

In a filing with Bursa, EPF bought 2.57 million shares on Jan 23 this year. 

As of closing on Jan 23, IOI Prop closed at RM2.10. With the transaction, EPF would hold 222.9 million shares in IOI Prop.

In the last one year, IOI Prop's share price has seen some momentum. The stock gained 4.15% to RM2.11, as of noon market today. — theedgemarkets.com
