PETALING JAYA: (April 6): Thailand-based furniture retailer Index Living Mall has made its debut in Johor with the opening of its fourth outlet in Malaysia at AEON Mall Tebrau City.

Index Living Mall is Thailand’s largest home furnishing centre. Boasting 27 stores in Thailand, it made its Malaysian debut in 2014 at Putrajaya’s IOI City Mall, then expanded to include outlets at AEON Mall Shah Alam, AEON Mall Kota Bahru, and most recently, AEON Mall Tebrau City.

The opening ceremony of the latest outlet was held on March 24. The event was witnessed by the mayor of Johor Bahru City A. Rahim Nin; Aeon Co. (M) Bhd managing director Shinobu Washizawa and Index Living Mall Thailand chairman and CEO Pisith Patamasatayasonthi.

“Since making its way to Malaysia in 2014, Index Living Mall has grown to reaffirm its position as a leader in Asia’s home furnishing retail industry… and AEON is proud to be a champion of its growth,” said Shinobu Washizawa.

In a bid to deliver an improved shopping experience, the outlet also comes equipped with an impressive TV wall displaying its current promotions, and four Inspiration Boxes that offer 360-degree views of home interior design ideas.

A comfortable 3D Design Centre—which doubles as a customer lounge—also makes up part of the store, connecting designers to shoppers that are seeking professional consultation and recommendations.
