Tropicana Metropark

PETALING JAYA (April 15): Tropicana Metropark in Subang Jaya is set to launch its third serviced apartment project – Paisley on April 22.

Sitting on a 4.29-acre freehold plot, the project is slated for completion by February 2021. Paisley has a gross development value of RM479 million and will house two towers – 28-storey Tower A with 329 units and 27-storey Tower B with 258 units.

According to Tropicana business development and sales and marketing executive director Ung Lay Ting, the serviced apartment units will have built-ups of between 601 sq ft and 1,491 sq ft. Prices will start from RM534,000 or RM840 psf.

She told City & Country that Paisley will occupy the most prime site of the residential component of the 88-acre mixed-use Tropicana Metropark and that it will appeal to upgraders, newly-weds and young executives.

The facilities of The Paisley will include three sky terraces, a multi-level gym and an Olympic-sized swimming pool. Among the amenities near the development are malls, universities and hospitals. The 252,000 sq ft GEMS International School at Tropicana Metropark will open its doors in September.

On the market outlook, Ung noted buyers in both the primary and secondary markets were cautious last year and will remain so this year owing to factors such as financing and affordability.

Having said that, she believed that the growing population and expanding middle-income group will continue to drive demand for residential properties.

“The demand for homes will rise as more young adults join the workforce. They will be looking for a place of their own to settle down,” she said.

Tropicana Metropark was unveiled in 2012 and has a GDV of RM7.2 billion. The mixed-use development will comprise residential and commercial properties, office units, a shopping mall, an international school and a medical centre.

The entire development will be developed in 10 phases and is slated for completion in 2027.
