PETALING JAYA (April 17): Gamuda Land’s Valencia township development and Madge Mansions received a Gold and a Silver award respectively, at the recent TheEdgeProperty.com Malaysia’s Best Managed Property Awards on April 3.

Valencia, a 288-acre freehold development in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, featuring Malaysia’s first residents-only golf course, won the Gold award in the residential category (non-strata), while Madge Mansions, featuring 52 exclusive “villas in the sky” located in the prestigious Embassy Row of Kuala Lumpur, was the Silver winner in the residential category (strata).

According to Gamuda Land chief operating officer Ngan Chee Meng, innovation is the way forward for property management and the team is harnessing digital innovation to provide seamless customer experience, as well as add value for homeowners in all Gamuda Land’s developments.

“Currently, the team has introduced the usage of SnagR Defect Management app, an easy-to-use mobile application for building defect management. The app makes it easy for homeowners to record and monitor the defect rectification process with a mobile device,” Ngan added.

He said Gamuda Land’s developments aim to harmoniously bring the key elements together, such as the architecture, how the streets are laid out to promote walking and biking activities, as well as how the parks and amenities sit within the neighbourhood.

“When all of these elements come together, our developments take on their own personality so that when residents live there, they get a strong sense of belonging. For a development to work well, we need to get the important spaces right — the play areas, the gathering areas and the home areas — that is the key factor that gives Gamuda Land’s developments the edge,” Ngan said.

The judging criteria for TheEdgeProperty.com Malaysia’s Best Managed Property Awards 2017 include maintenance, administration, collections, financial sustainability, security, community and communication, and development value or yield.

Organised by TheEdgeProperty.com, with partners Nippon Paint Malaysia and Panasonic Malaysia, the award strives to create awareness and drive home the importance of top-in-class management practises in Malaysia.
