BANGSAR (Sept 18): Boutique property developer Bon Estates Sdn Bhd’s latest project The Estate South Bangsar is currently 65% sold since its launch in March this year, Bon Estates group managing director Goh Soo Sing told EdgeProp.my.

Goh was speaking to reporters on the sidelines after the announcement of the appointment of construction firm Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd as the main contractor for the high-rise luxury development today.

“Most of our buyers consist of families and those in the age range of 30 to 40 years old. Our popular units are the units with the bigger built-ups. All the penthouse units have been sold to date and we have set an internal target of achieving 80% sales by the end of this year,” Goh added.

The Estate South Bangsar comprises two 46-storey towers with 328 units of luxury condominiums.

Built-ups for the units range from 2,346 sq ft to 3,474 sq ft with prices from RM800 psf.

The project is located on a 3.68-acre freehold parcel along Jalan 112/h, South Bangsar.

Standard units come in either 4+1 or 5+1 bedrooms, while there will also be a limited number of duplex units and penthouses available.

Approximately 40% of the units are dual-key types.

Some of the facilities in the development include a 3,000 sq ft gym, yoga room, meditation room, five pools, multipurpose hall and an open play area with a sunken lawn.

Meanwhile, on the awarding of the contract to Kerjaya Prospek with a value of RM291 million, Goh noted that Kerjaya Prospek will be able to satisfy the cost, time and quality goals of Bon Estates.

“We are confident in Kerjaya Prospek’s adoption of Qlassic standards, which is a reflection of our own aspiration and vision of building The Estate to identical standards,” said Goh.

Qlassic, or Quality Assessment System in Construction, is a system by the Construction Industry Development Board that scores the workmanship of a building based on the Construction Industry Standard.

“This is our first collaboration with Bon Estates and we believe that with its prominent profile as a property developer and our expertise in premium building construction and project management, this project will be a great success,” said Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd executive chairman Datuk Tee Eng Ho, who was also present at the event.

The construction of the main building is set to commence in October and slated for completion in May 2020.
