PETALING JAYA (Sept 30): Eco World Development Group Bhd’s (EcoWorld) mega launches which began today has attracted over 1,000 potential buyers to its show galleries in the Klang Valley and Penang.

The company has unveiled five projects under the EcoWorld DNA (Design-Nature-Art) campaign today, including the maiden launches of Eco Horizon in Batu Kawan, Penang; Eco Forest in Semenyih; and Eco Business Park V in Puncak Alam.

Meanwhile, the other two launches are the new phases in its existing townships: Dremien at Eco Ardence in Setia Alam and Whitten at Eco Majestic in Semenyih.

EcoWorld Malaysia president and CEO Datuk Chang Khim Wah said the simultaneous launches were well-received with strong registrations of interest by potential buyers.

"The sales are encouraging and I believe it will help us to achieve our [RM4 billion] sales target of our current financial year ending in October," he told reporters after the media tour of three of its new launches in the Klang Valley today.

These five launches will also be the final projects launched by EcoWorld before the end of its fiscal year.

The company’s divisional general managers Datuk Hoe Mee Ling, Ho Kwee Hong, Evon Yap and Liew Tian Xiong also attended the media tour of the launches in Eco Ardence, Eco Forest and Eco Grandeur.

Yap said Ebonylane, the inaugural precinct of Eco Forest, will offer 685 2-storey terraced homes in two designs – Artisan homes and Garden homes, which will feature a unique A-frame design.

Phase one will comprise 300 homes, with prices starting from RM600,000 for Artisan homes and RM700,000 for Garden homes, bringing the estimated gross development (GDV) value to RM200 million.

She noted that the A-frame design of the homes serves not just an aesthetic function but also a practical one, as it improves indoor air ventilation, among other things. Each home will also have its own linear garden.

Artisan homes will come in three sizes — 20ft by 65ft, 20ft by 70ft and 22ft by 70ft — while the Garden homes are all 30ft by 62ft.

About 10km away from Eco Forest is Eco Majestic City, where its first commercial properties named Whitten were revealed.

Phase one offers 67 units of 2-storey strata shopoffices which have a 24ft-wide frontage with selling price starting from RM1.97 million.

Whitten will comprise two phases in total with 117 units.

Eco Majestic City is the commercial hub of the 1,089-acre Eco Majestic in Semenyih.

Besides this, the company has also unveiled its first business park development in the Klang Valley, Eco Business Park V (EBP V), which carries a GDV of RM3 billion.

This is also the fourth Eco World Business Park project in Malaysia, with another three in Johor.

This 518-acre leasehold development is a joint venture with the Employees Provident Fund Board.

EBP V will be offering 72 units of cluster factories with built-up sizes from 3,795 sq ft (60ft by 130ft) and 28 units of semidee factories with built-ups of 7,870 sq ft (80ft by 200ft).

Ho said over 100 potential buyers have registered their interest at the sales gallery in Eco Grandeur.

The selling prices of the cluster factories and semidee factories start from RM1.88 million and RM3.33 million respectively.

EBP V will be accessible via five major highways — the Guthrie Corridor Expressway, Kuala Lumpur-Kuala Selangor Expressway, North-South Expressway and two upcoming highways, namely the proposed Damansara-Shah Alam Expressway and the West Coast Expressway, which will be completed by 2019.
