Gabugan AQRS, WCT advance on winning LRT3-related contracts
KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 6): Gabungan AQRS Bhd and WCT Holdings Bhd rose this morning on winning contracts related to the LRT3 proejct.
At 9.06am, Gabungan AQRS rose 4.68% or 8 sen to RM1.79 with 580,000 shares done.
Meanwhile, WCT added 2.86% or 5 sen to RM1.80 with 155,200 shares traded.
Gabungan AQRS was awarded an LRT3 contract worth about RM1.14 billion to construct guideway, stations, park-and-ride, ancillary buildings and other associated works.
The project is for 38 months and is expected to contribute positively to Gabungan AQRS's earnings for FY17 onwards.
Meanwhile, another LRT3 contract, worth RM640 million, was won by WCT to build the guideway and other associated works from Merchant Square to Suria Damansara, stretching 2.9km long with two stations. — theedgemarkets.com
