PETALING JAYA (Oct 17): Sime Darby Property Bhd saw its latest launch — Elmina Green phase 1 — achieve a take-up rate of 70% over the weekend when it was launched on Oct 14.

According to a press release today, the developer said a total of 131 out of 187 units offered for sale were taken up, demonstrating “strong demand for residential units” within the award-winning township.

The freehold homes comprise 20ft by 70ft 2-storey terraced homes with a built up area from 2,001 sq ft that feature an open-plan floor layout combining living, dining and kitchen areas, which the developer said is aimed at optimising space and movement and intended for multigenerational living.

“We are pleased that the first phase of Elmina Green residential units is well received by the public. We thank our customers for their confidence in Sime Darby Property’s products and the potential of our developments in the City of Elmina,” said Sime Darby Property general manager Appollo Leong.

“The success of Elmina Green phase 1 reprises the success of other developments in the township such as our earlier four phases of Elmina Valley homes which received overwhelming response, signifying strong demand for reasonably priced residential products at the City of Elmina,” he added.

The remaining homes are priced from RM683,888 before bumiputera discount (7%) and early signing rebate (5%).

The homes are scheduled for completion in October 2019.

Elmina Green phase 1 is at the centre of the Guthrie Corridor, with amenities in the area including schools, hospitals, retail and recreational facilities.

It is part of the City of Elmina, which includes townships Denai Alam, Bukit Subang, Elmina East and Elmina West.

Within the City of Elmina are the 300-acre Elmina Central Park and a 90km cycling and jogging track, which is one of the longest in the country.
