KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 30): Mah Sing Group Bhd saw three of its new projects across Malaysia that were previewed over the weekend record an average booking rates of 95%.

The three projects are M Centura, in Sentul, here, M Vista@Southbay in Penang and Fern in Meridin East, Johor.

In a statement yesterday, Mah Sing said there had been an overwhelming response with more than 3,000 people having visited the three sales galleries to select their preferred units, in order to enjoy special early bird privileges.

“The response we received this [last] weekend indicated a ‘feel good budget effect’ which has revived sentiments and confidence in the market,” Mah Sing group managing director Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum said.

“We will continue to ‘Reinvent Affordability’ by providing well located homes at price points within buyers’ reach. They will all come with practical layouts, good facilities and amenities. More importantly, they will have proximity to public transportation such as the mass rapid transit and the light rail transit systems, and easily accessible,” he added.

Last week, Mah Sing launched a “Reinvent Affordability” campaign in support of the government’s broad objectives to encourage home ownership. The campaign covers the three new projects as well as its M Vertica, Cheras project here, and aims to reinvent what it means to be affordable by providing homes with good product specifications, at a price point many can actually afford.

“Our Reinvent Affordability campaign goes well with Budget 2018 incentives such as the step-up financing scheme, MyDeposit Programme and Income tax reduction, and will meet the government’s aspiration of addressing the current shortage of affordable products that suits the middle-income group,” said Leong.

“We are very serious about our positioning as Malaysia’s leading developer for affordable homes, which still came with premium features,” he added.

M Centura, Sentul is located 5km from the Kuala Lumpur city centre, with residential units starting from RM328,000.

In Penang, residential units at M Vista@Southbay, are priced from RM345,800 and the project is located 1km from the Second Penang Bridge and 9km from the first Penang Bridge.

The two-storey linked homes in Fern, Meridin East, are priced from RM410,550 and are located within Mah Sing’s 1,313-acre (531.35ha) Meridin East township.

Meanwhile, their M Vertica in Cheras is currently open for registration.
