Jalan Medang Tanduk Bangsar

PETALING JAYA (Nov 19): Jalan Medang Tanduk at Bukit Bandaraya, Bangsar, will be closed for the foreseeable future after a hillslope retaining wall collapsed at 11.40pm last night.

"The situation is dangerous due to earth movement and stones falling. Furthermore, there is construction work going on in the area involving a condominium project on top of the hill," said a Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) spokesman.

However, no casualties were reported in the late-night incident, said the department in a Bernama report today.

The department has informed residents of several housing estates near the area about the road closure, it added.

However, several agencies which include the Kuala Lumpur City Hall Emergency Unit, and Bomba have been placed on alert to monitor the situation.
