PETALING JAYA (Dec 8): The Kuala Lumpur-Singapore high speed rail (HSR) from Bandar Malaysia to Jurong East in Singapore will run every half an hour, according to MyHSR Corp project delivery director Mark Loader.

There will also be a domestic service where the train will stop at all seven stations along the route in Malaysia at 30-minute intervals, he said in a report by The Star.

There will be eight stations in total along the 350km line, at Bandar Malaysia, Bangi-Putrajaya, Seremban, Melaka, Muar, Batu Pahat, and Iskandar Puteri in Malaysia, and Jurong East in Singapore.

The domestic service will start from Bandar Malaysia and end at Iskandar Puteri and take 120 minutes.

Passengers will then be able to take a 15-minute shuttle train service from Iskandar Puteri to Jurong East.

The proposed frequency was based on projections made by MyHSR Corp, considering there were 60 flights daily between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, he added.

Meanwhile, the non-stop express service to Singapore will take 90 minutes and passengers boarding at Bandar Malaysia will be able to clear Singapore immigration before boarding, he said.

Bernama also reported that members of the public can get information on the KL-Singapore HSR at six locations in Negeri Sembilan.

They are the Nilai Municipal Council, Terminal One Mall, AEON Mall Seremban 2, Port Dickson Municipal Council, TF Value Mart - Port Dickson, and Giant Superstore Nilai.

This facility will be available until Jan 31, 2018.
