PETALING JAYA (Dec 11): K-pop star G-Dragon has reportedly purchased a six-storey building in the posh Seoul neighbourhood of Gangnam for an auspicious-sounding 8.8 billion won (RM32.8 million), according to several entertainment news outlets.

The building, which also has a basement and has a total floor area of 11,000 sq ft, is close to several entertainment agencies and is near a subway station.

According to architecture firm L’EAU design Co Ltd which designed the building, it is named ‘The March Rabbit’ after the Alice in Wonderland character.

G-Dragon, who is part of Big Bang — one of the most successful South Korean boy bands ever — had signed a sales contract last June and was officially registered as a landlord in November, reported the New Straits Times.

The pop sensation already owns two luxury apartments in Seongsu and Mapo, Seoul, which were priced at RM12 million and RM4.8 million, the newspaper reported.
