Westside III project in Desa ParkCity ahead of schedule, says GDB

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 18): GDB Holdings Bhd said construction of the RM245 million Westside III mixed development project in Desa ParkCity is ahead of schedule.

Work had commenced on Dec 21, 2015 and the contractual completion date is Dec 20, 2018, the construction services group said in a statement yesterday.

GDB was appointed as the main contractor by Perdana ParkCity Sdn Bhd.

Westside III is a 49-storey condominium which is currently the tallest structure in Desa ParkCity.

It consists of 469 residential units, with facilities that include a jogging track, a water park, secret garden, sun deck, kids' fun zone, and multipurpose hall, said GDB managing director Cheah Ham Cheia.

"The topping off of Westside III today, which represents the building's structure reaching its highest point, indicates that its construction is ahead of schedule," said Cheah.

"GDB had also performed the topping off of the 38-storey Menara Etiqa in December last year, which similarly denoted earlier-than-anticipated construction progress," he added. — theedgemarkets.com
