PETALING JAYA (Feb 5): As co-working space Colony Space Asia gears up for rapid expansion, it is seeking to boost its roster of talents and will pay RM10,000 in referral fees to anyone who recommends a new candidate who is hired and confirmed after their probationary period, it said in a press statement today.

The company — which opened its first 18,000 sq ft co-working space located at Vipod Residences, Jalan Kia Peng in July last year — is planning to expand to at least four more locations this year.

Some of the positions it is looking to fill are community managers, sales representatives and project managers.

According to its co-founder and executive director Timothy Tiah, service is vital to the company’s identity as it “places a lot of emphasis on hospitality, ensuring the happiness of its tenants, and having a team that knows how to go above and beyond”.

"At Colony, we believe that our success lies in our ability to revolutionise our guests’ working experience, which ultimately comes down to the people we have working both behind the scenes and at the front of the office day-in and day-out. Getting talented and passionate individuals who fit our culture has always been a core focus for us, which is why we're excited about this initiative to help us find the best people who will drive Colony's success going forward,” he said.

The co-working space will introduce this initiative for a month, with plans to extend the offer again if the programme is well received.
