KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 26): A collapsed crane at a construction site of the SUKE Expressway project along the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) at about 9am today caused a bad traffic jam from Ampang to Cheras.

A 36-year-old-man, who was the crane operator, was injured during the incident, a Selangor Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson told The Malay Mail Online today.

“The victim was given first aid treatment and subsequently brought to Hospital Ampang. No further casualties were reported,” the spokesman said.

According to the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM), on its Twitter, only the right lane is passable and motorists are advised to be cautious when passing the area, Bernama reported.

"Only the right lane can be used. Traffic is slow from Hulu Klang," tweeted Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).
