Country Garden

KUALA LUMPUR (April 16): Hong Kong Stock Exchange-listed property developer Country Garden is collaborating with Perdana ParkCity Sdn Bhd — residential communities and township developer — to establish the hotel, offices, parking, shopping mall, connectivity and apartments (HOPSCA) community in Taman Wahyu here.

HOPSCA is a buzzword used by Chinese real estate developers which refers to large-scale mixed-use commercial urban developments.

In its revised statement today, Country Garden said its first international expansion plan was put into motion in 2013.

“With this joint venture, the development is planned to establish the HOPSCA community, a new urban concept widely adopted in the rapidly-growing real estate industry in China.

“The creation of an ideal habitat model has established the company as the benchmark for a better living standard within the Malaysian and Singapore region,” a fortune global 500 company said in a recent statement.

Country Garden said HOPSCA allows for the organic integration with the external city, by having an efficient transportation system in place.

“This allows its inhabitants easy access to a mixed-use of urban functions and increases the value of the city,” the statement read.

Country Garden is also listed in the Forbes 300, expanding throughout the region of China, Australia, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Currently, Country Garden has four major developments in Malaysia, namely Danga Bay, Forest City, the Central Park, all in Johor Bahru, and Diamond City — in Semenyih.

Country Garden has developed more than 1000 high-quality premium projects around the globe, serving more than 3 million house owners. — theedgemarkets.com
