Prasarana’s ex-CEO takes helm of YTL THP JV

KUALA LUMPUR (May 3): YTL THP JV Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between Syarikat Pembenaan Yeoh Tiong Lay Sdn Bhd and TH Properties Sdn Bhd, has appointed former Prasarana Malaysia Bhd president and chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Seri Azmi Abdul Aziz (pictured) as the company’s CEO.

Prior to joining YTL-THP, Azmi was managing director and CEO of PBLT Sdn Bhd, a company owned by the Ministry of Finance Inc, specialising in public and private property and infrastructure facilities.

In a statement yesterday, YTL THP JV said Azmi brings over 33 years of experience in the public and private sectors of the transportation industry to his new position. He was president and CEO of Prasarana from 2015 to 2017.

He was also chief development officer at the Land Public Transport Commission and had served in senior management positions at Projek Usahasama Transit Ringan Automatik Sdn Bhd, Rapid KL Sdn Bhd and Scomi Engineering Bhd as well.

YTL THP JV is the project delivery partner for the construction of civil works for the southern alignment of the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail.
