KUALA LUMPUR (May 4): Irene Sin May Lin has been named the new chief financial officer of Sunway Real Estate Investment Trust (SunREIT).

In a filling to Bursa Malaysia, SunREIT said Sin, 43, replaces Wai Sow Fun, who will assume a new role within the Sunway Group.

Sin has previously served as the general manager (finance) in Sunway Property's property investment division.

She sits on the boards of several companies in Sunway Bhd.

SunREIT's share price rose 1 sen or 0.61% to close at RM1.66, with 2.75 million of shares traded, giving it a market capitalisation of RM4.86 billion. — theedgemarkets.com
