KUALA LUMPUR (June 1): Mass Rapid Transit Corp Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) accepts the Pakatan Harapan government’s decision to cancel the MRT Line 3 project, but hopes it will be revived once the country’s finances improve.

The project was critical to close all the loops and complete the rail system, Bernama reported MRT Corp CEO Datuk Seri Shahril Mokhtar saying.

“It is not a mistake to cancel it now but it still needs to be done in the future,” he told reporters after meeting with the Council of Eminent Persons today.
