PETALING JAYA (June 14): Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd CEO Nazrin Hassan has passed away in a room fire at his semi-detached house in Mutiara Damansara here this afternoon, reported The Star.

A family friend told the daily that he had retired to bed after taking some medication to ease his migraine pains.

The bed caught fire and he was believed to have died of smoke inhalation.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said it received a report at 12.30pm.

It sent two fire engines and 14 fire fighters to the location, who arrived at 12.46pm and put out the fire at 12.53pm.

Bomba has yet to establish the cause of the fire.

The 45-year-old is survived by his wife, four children and a son from a previous marriage.

Cradle Fund is an early-stage start-up influencer that is under the Ministry of Finance.
