PETALING JAYA (July 16): MyPPP youth secretary Jayaselan Rajoo has lodged two police reports against embattled former myPPP president Tan Sri M. Kayveas over allegations of multi-million ringgit property purchases funded through abuse of power during his tenure.

The reports were lodged at the Sentul police station last week and sought investigations into allegations that he had misused his position as president to raise funds for acquiring assets worth RM28 million, reported The Malaysian Insight.

He had purportedly purchased dozens of properties in Malaysia, Singapore and the UK.

The reports were prompted by eight sets of PDFs containing documents detailing the transactions that go back to 2011.

Jayaselan said he could not verify if the WhatsApp messages were true or if the properties existed but he urged the authorities to investigate the matter.

Meanwhile, an unnamed senior party member said they were stunned by the messages and said the investigations were best left to the police.

On the other hand, Kayveas has responded by lodging 15 police reports on the matter and was told that action will be taken against the perpetrators next week.

Kayveas was fired as party president in April after he criticised the Barisan Nasional coalition – which MyPPP is part of – for not giving him the Cameron Highlands seat to contest in the 14th general elections.
