PONTIAN (August 21): A woman told the media that her husband had run away, and owed some RM100,000 to nine loan sharks, with their home as collateral.

Wong Lee Sze, 45, told The Sun Daily that she was fed up of harassment from the ‘ah longs’, and wished to sever ties with her husband.

The debts are outstanding over a period of two years.

With the land title of their house as collateral for the debt he racked up, Wong is now in fear that she may lose the home she lives in.

"My husband left home two years ago. What made me more worried is that I can't find the land title," she said.

The daily reports that she has lodged a police report on the missing title.

"I would like to say that I had nothing to do with the illegal loan."

Wong spoke about her troubles at the community service centre of Pekan Nanas assemblyman Yeo Tung Siong, today.

Yeo said his team will contact the Legal Aid Department for the divorce application process.
