KUALA LUMPUR (September 25): Sapura Energy Bhd’s wholly-owned units have secured three new jobs and a contract extension valued at about RM815 million.

In a statement yesterday, Sapura Energy said in Malaysia, its engineering and construction division, Sapura Fabrication Sdn Bhd, has received a contract to undertake the provision of maintenance, construction and modification for ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Inc.

In Australia, its Normand Sapura Pty Ltd has secured a contract for the provision of inspection and recovery of subsea structures for the East Spar Project in offshore Western Australia from Quadrant Energy.

In Nigeria, Sapura Energy said Sapura Offshore Sdn Bhd has been awarded the subcontract by Saidel Ltd to undertake engineering and construction of the 16” Southern SWAMP sales gas evacuation pipeline in the Delta Region of Nigeria, for Shell Petroleum Development Co of Nigeria.

 It also said Sapura Drilling Sdn Bhd has received a one-year extension — with an option for a further one year — on its contract from Brunei Shell Petroleum Co Sdn Bhd.
