PUTRAJAYA (Oct 18): Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pictured) has been arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today.

The graft busters said in a statement that the arrest was related with investigations involving a foundation which was not named.

The MACC said the arrest took place at 3.15pm today.

The statement also said that the former deputy PM is being probed for abuse of power, criminal breach of trust and money laundering.

This is the sixth time that Zahid has been at the MACC in relation to the matter.

He will be brought to Kuala Lumpur Session’s Court at 8am tomorrow.

Yesterday, MACC officials sent a notice to the Umno president requesting him to be present at the graft busters’ HQ in Putrajaya at 3pm, Oct 18.
