Rosmah leaves MACC, to appear in court tomorrow — report

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 14): Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor left the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters in Putrajaya today after almost three hours of questioning, according to Free Malaysia Today (FMT).

FMT reported her lawyer K Kumaraendran as saying that she had left the building at 2.35pm through an alternative exit.

He added that Rosmah had been asked to appear at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court at 3pm tomorrow.

He declined to elaborate on the charges expected to be framed against Rosmah, asking everyone to wait until tomorrow.

According to news reports, Rosmah was summoned by the anti-graft officials for further questioning on the RM1.25 billion solar hybrid project for rural schools in Sarawak.

Rosmah currently faces 17 money laundering charges involving over RM7 million under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 and the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001, said the FMT report.

She claimed trial to all 17 charges on Oct 4.
