KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 27): Land & General Bhd has appointed Datuk Noorizah Abd Hamid as its new independent non-executive director, effective Dec 1, 2018.

In a filing with the local exchange today, the group said Noorizah has more than 30 years of working experience, mainly in corporate finance and strategic management.

"She was the managing director/chief executive officer of PLUS Expressways International Bhd (PEIB) and PLUS Malaysia Bhd from 2012 to 2016 and also the managing director of PLUS Expressway Bhd from 2007 to 2012," the filing said.

Prior to that, Noorizah was the managing director of Faber Group Bhd and Faber Hotels Holdings Bhd from 1999 to 2007 and had also held other senior positions which include senior general manager finance of Projek Lebuhraya Utara Selatan Bhd and senior manager of Hatibudi Management Sdn Bhd (UEM Group).

Notably, Noorizah has directorships in public companies and listed issuers such as Scientex Bhd, PNB Merdeka Venture Bhd, Amanah Mutual Bhd and Mass Rapid Transit Corp Sdn Bhd.

At 2.31pm, Land & General's share price was down 0.5 sen or 3.23% to 15 sen, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM445.97 million. theedgemarkets.com
