KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 21): Chairman of national oil firm Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) Datuk Ahmad Nizam Salleh (pictured) has been appointed the non-independent non-executive chairman of KLCC Stapled Group, which comprises KLCC Property Holdings Bhd and KLCC Real Estate Investment Trust (KLCC REIT)

Ahmad Nizam, 62, was appointed to chair Petronas on Aug 2, 2018. He subsequently resigned as independent non-executive director of construction, and oil and gas firm WZ Satu Bhd on Aug 8, a post he had held for two years.

Ahmad Nizam had previously been working with Petronas between 1986 and 2010.

Shares in KLCC Stapled Group were down 2 sen or 0.26% at RM7.66 before the market closed for noon break today. — theedgemarkets.com
