KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 28): Jho Low’s parents and two other associates are being sought by the Malaysia’s police as part of the investigation into the 1MDB scandal.

Bloomberg, citing a statement from the police, reports that authorities are seeking information on Low’s parents Low Hock Peng and Goh Gaik Ewe as well as Tan Kim Loong, Low’s associate. They are also seeking Shabnam Naraindas Daswani, a Singaporean who is also known as Natasha Mirpuri.

The news agency reports that Interpol’s help has been requested in order to help track down Low and his father, and Tan is facing joint charges with Low for allegedly receiving illicit funds.

Low has denied any wrongdoing.

Goh has been reported as residing in Thailand, and was named in a US court filing in November in a warrant to seize a pair of diamond earrings and a matching diamond ring believed to be linked to 1MDB.

There were no details on why the police were seeking Mirpuri.
