KUALA LUMPUR (March 9): New LEAP Market entrant Uni Wall APS Bhd which provides building façade services to property developers, has announced its second contract win this week with a RM32.14 million sub-contract from Ahmad Zaki Resources Bhd (AZRB).

The contract is for the supply and installation of aluminium and glazing works for the Mass Rapid Transit 2 project, specifically for the construction and completion of elevated stations and other associated works at Serdang Raya (South), Seri Kembangan and UPM.

Four days ago, Uni Wall announced that it had bagged a RM21.25 million subcontract from Crest Builder Sdn Bhd (CBSB) to supply and install aluminium, glazing and second skin external façade for a six-storey office building in Section 19, Petaling Jaya.

Yesterday, the group said in a stock exchange filing that its wholly-owned unit, Uni Wall Architectural Products & Services Sdn Bhd, has accepted the letter of award from AZRB's wholly owned unit, Ahmad Zaki Sdn Bhd, for the latest job.

The developer of the MRT2 project is Gadang Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd, with AZSB as the customer, it added.

“Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the contract is expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings of the group for the duration of the contract,” Uni Wall said.

“The group intends to fund the contract via internally-generated funds and external borrowings,” it added.

Shares of Uni Wall closed unchanged at 30 sen yesterday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM109.71 million. It has gained 8 sen per share or 36.36%, since it was listed on Jan 15 this year. — theedgemarkets.com
