JOHOR BAHRU (March 18): R&F Mall Johor Bahru, part of the R&F Princess Cove development here is preparing for its soft opening on March 28.

R&F Princess Cove is the first overseas project by Hong Kong-listed Guangzhou R&F Properties Co Ltd of China. The development also comprises a 5-star hotel, Grade A office building, a marina garden corridor, a commercial area, a luxury club house and apartments.

Located at the Singapore-Malaysia Custom Immigration Quarantine (CIQ) centre in Johor, the mall has a gross floor area of 800,000 sq ft and a net lettable of 532,000 sq ft.

Among the tenants will also be newcomers to the Malaysian retail scene such as Taiwanese Oregin Ji Ke and ROUTINE by Soon as well as anchor tenant Emperor Cinemas which hails from Hong Kong.

“The soft opening is just the starting point for R&F Mall. We are concurrently preparing for a grand opening where a lot more wow factors will be unveiled,” said R&F Group commercial operations chairman Peter Li in a press release recently.

R&F Mall Johor Bahru is designed by the team behind ION Orchard, Singapore,

The mall is connected by the CIQ link bridge which opened in May last year, to the Johor Bahru CIQ.
