KLANG (April 4): You have not borrowed any money from the “ah longs” or the local loan sharks, but they have “targeted” your home anyway!

This ordeal is being endured by residents in Taman Pendamar Indah when the loan sharks splashed red paint on “18 cars and 14 houses” in the early hours of March 2 even though the residents did not take any loans from them, reported the World of Buzz news portal.

Using reports from China Press, it is revealed that the “borrower” does not actually live in the area, only his brother does.

The brother of the debtor who only wants to be known as Lim, also told Sin Chew that the culprit has been “kicked out of the family long ago “for taking drugs and stealing from the family”.

It has also been reported the black sheep of the family “owes money to 10 different loan sharks”.

Lim told Sin Chew that he himself is now in hot soup now as the loan sharks have made him is brother’s guarantor.

“I don’t have a stable source of income and definitely don’t have the means to settle these debts,” he told the Chinese-language daily.

He also said his mother is sick and he has to take care of her in their home.

As for the unfortunate neighbours, one had three of his cars splashed with paint and had to fork out RM1,400 to repair one of them, reported the news portal.

To make matters worse, the ah longs have threatened to set fire to cars and homes in the area if the loan is not settled.

This is one “I’ll be back” scenario that the poor neighbours do not want to see.
