KUALA LUMPUR (April 5): The Finance Ministry (MoF) said today retail prices for RON97 and RON95 petrol remain at RM2.63 and RM2.08 per litre respectively for the April 6 to 12 period based on the government's weekly petroleum products price setting using the automatic pricing mechanism (APM) formula.
The retail price for diesel also stays at RM2.18 per litre, MoF said in a statement today.
Based on calculations under the APM formula, RON95 and diesel retail prices for the April 6 to 12 period should be RM2.33 and RM2.36 per litre respectively, according to the ministry.
"However, RON95 and diesel retail prices for the above period will be maintained at RM2.08 and RM2.18 a litre (respectively) in line with the decision of the government to stabilise retail prices for petroleum products and reduce the cost of living for the people," read the statement.
